The ICC needed a nimble plan and support to weather changing circumstances.
The International Code Council had achieved mixed results from an outsourced sponsorship sales effort on behalf of its annual Building Safety Month program.
The association engaged The Sheridan Group to manage this program while conducting a comprehensive assessment of its entire sponsorship program (including annual conference, webinars et al.) leading to a 2020 Action Plan. Based on the plan, we expanded our role well beyond BSM to include sponsor prospect research and database management. After the pandemic forced the cancellation of ICC’s annual meeting, we helped them pivot to secure $44,000 in funding for a Learn Live webinar series. Currently, we are rolling out a program to engage companies at higher thresholds of sponsorship and advertising through a new Premier Sponsor Program, managing the entire sales process.
