Jeff Hale, CFRE
Special Projects Advisor
From 2012 – 2020, Jeff served as Vice President of The Sheridan Group. During his tenure, he provided a wide variety of senior-level fundraising assessment and management services to more than two dozen clients including the National Housing Endowment, Brevard (FL) Zoo, The Ohio CPA Foundation, the International Code Council and St. David’s Episcopal Church.
In 2020, Jeff Hale became the Development Director at Samaritan Ministries of Greater Washington. Jeff continues to provide critical strategic advice to the firm for specific assignments on an as-needed basis.
Over his career, Jeff has held development roles of increasing breadth and responsibility with the Global Alliance for Arts & Health, Ford’s Theatre, the National Gallery of Art and, the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts.
Professionally, Jeff is an active member of the Association of Fundraising Professionals (AFP), the Association Foundation Group (AFG), and the Association of Philanthropic Counsel (APC). He attained the Certified Fundraising Executive (CFRE) credential in 2019. Closer to home, he also serves on the Board of Directors of Southeast Ministry in Washington, DC, and is currently Chair of the Fundraising Committee for Boy Scout Troop 500.
Jeff received a Bachelor of Music degree from James Madison University in 1991 and a Master’s degree in Arts Administration from American University in 1997. In 1995 he was selected as an Arts Administration Fellow at the National Endowment for the Arts. Jeff, his wife, Alice, and their two sons, live in the Capitol Hill neighborhood of Washington, DC.
